Today we are going to introduce such a farmer of Nagaur who is doing farming using innovative method to cultivate Rabi crop. The same has been done by farmer Tajiram of Lalwas village of Nagaur. Those who are cultivating rabi crops by making farm paints in their fields.

This farmer is neither based on canal water nor on tubel water. Rather, the farmer is cultivating rabi crops by collecting rain water. Presently cumin crop has been cultivated by this farmer.

The state government is constantly making efforts to develop agriculture. It is helping the farmers by introducing methods and schemes for modern farming. Taking the help of this innovation, a farmer Tajiram is doing farming by getting farm paint made in his field. With the help of the government, a huge tank is made in a part of the Farm Paint field and rain water is collected in it.

Rabi crop is cultivated by collecting rain water. 10 thousand lakh liters of farm paint is made in Tajiram’s field. The total cost of which came out to Rs. lakhs. In which this farmer was given an aid amount of Rs. 5 lakhs by the government. This farm paint farmer can get it made in his field with the help of agriculture or horticulture department.

Cultivation of cumin crop with farm paint

At present, farmer Tajiram has cultivated cumin crop in his 40 bigha field. This crop is not a salt water crop but a sweet water crop. This crop will produce 50-60 kg more per bigha per quintal than normal cumin crop. This can also be made by the farmer in his own fields.

It frees the farmer from depending on ground water as Rabi crop can be easily cultivated by collecting rain water from farm pond. On the other hand, if there is a need for water after the kharif crop, this water can also be used for the kharif crop.

This is the specialty of this crop

The normal plant height of cumin crop is 15 to 30 cm. There are heights. But the height of this plant is 4-5 cm more than the normal height. There is very little chance of getting disease in the fresh water crop. It tastes better than the cumin crop sown with brackish water.

Annual income of 15 to 20 lakhs

Farmer Tajiram is a resident of Lalavas village of Khivansar tehsil of Nagaur. He is cultivating rabi crops by making farm paints in his field. He told that annually he gets an income of 15 to 20 lakhs from both the crops.
